Carmen M. Gardell

Carmen Gardell, Watercolorist, received a Master of Science Degree in Studio Art from the College of New Rochelle, New York . She served on the Board of Trustees for the Castle Gallery at that college. She is an instructor of drawing, design, watercolor and associated with the Artist Registry. As a member of Florida Watercolor Society and Central Florida Watercolor Society, she is currently showing her work in Florida at Gallery One Artists, Kissimmee and New York Local Artist Gallery, St. Cloud .

An avid artist, she is constantly learning new techniques and experiments with a variety of mediums and subjects although she has been painting for over 40 years.

I nterestingly, she recently studied under Terry Madden (PBS watercolorist) and is now a certified instructor, helping student artists to work in watercolor using the Madden loose method as well as instructing students closer to her own detailed style.    

She teaches there is “always something to learn”, a motto she follows for herself as well as emphasizing this concept for her students. This artist conducts workshops for any age group and level of development with the theory “everyone is creative”. She really loves to help students achieve their creative potential.
