Carlyn Hastreiter
 Since retiring
from her job as an Elementary School Principal, painting has become more than
the hobby of Carlyn’s youth. She has
found the opportunity to take classes, work and learn with other artists and
devote time to painting enriches each day.
Gradually she has become more confident and exploratory
with her style and subject matter.
Carlyn does not have years of formal training, so her work is instinctive--often
trial and error. Therefore producing a
painting which receives praise and creates interest encourages her to
continue artistic pursuits.
In addition to Gallery One, Carlyn has exhibited at the
Sanford Welcome Center and with the Solivita Artisan Guild in Poinciana. Florals, landscapes from her travels and
the Florida environment predominate her work in Acrylics. Cards which have reproductions of her work
are also available in the Gallery.
Carlyn continues classes and experimenting with new
techniques. Her wish is the results
will be interesting and valued by the people who enjoy and purchase her work.
