Stephen Sailors

SGrowing up in rural Wyoming with no television for entertainment, Steve learned to occupy his free time with creations fashioned with whatever was on hand and from the bounty of nature. He had brought this ingenuity to his work as an artist in stained glass and photography.

Steve has been working with stained glass for over twenty-five years and frequently includes a variety of objects in his stained glass artwork. His pieces often surprise the viewer with their skillful incorporation of common objects such as stones, shells, or china.

Steve especially enjoys creating individualized pieces that are designed specifically to communicate the concepts others would like to express, and these custom pieces for transoms, cabinets, room dividers and windows are scattered across southern Florida.
