Virginia
Shannon
Virginia grew up in Cocoa Beach Florida after her
father decided to be part of “Going to the Moon” and joined the space
program. Virginia is a licensed Clinical Social Worker retiring from
active service in 2009. She is a
graduate from the University of Central Florida with a BSW and MSW.
After leaving the active work force, Virginia took
some classes in jewelry making and found that creative spirit come
alive. "I have always had an urge to be creative but until
the last few years never had the time." She loves peace and sense of accomplishment
a piece of finished jewelry brings.
Part of the fun comes from searching for materials to include in her
finished products. Friends and family
members benefit from her creativity as she can’t resist giving gifts for all
occasions.
Virginia joined the gallery in 2010; her interest in
the gallery began with her relationship and friendship with Richard Ross,
widow of our gallery founder.
